Update: that $10 'lifetime' will kit from a guy in Reno was notarized and weirdly legit
A guy named Dale at a swap meet in Reno sold me a $10 "lifetime will kit" printed on yellow paper, and I figured it was a joke until my cousin the paralegal read it and said the self-proving affidavit wording was fine for our state. The trick was he charged $5 per "update" and kept a binder of everyone's old copies, which is a gray area but not illegal. Has anyone else bought one of these parking lot legal kits and had it hold up in probate?
