Finally caved and bought a proper tile saw for my shower project
Honestly, I was cutting everything with a cheap score-and-snap cutter for weeks and it was driving me nuts. The corners were always chipped and nothing fit right. I spent about $300 on a basic wet saw from the hardware store last weekend. Ngl, it felt like a lot at first, but I finished all the shower wall cuts in one afternoon with perfect edges. The difference is crazy. Has anyone else put off buying a specific tool and then been super glad they did?

Oh man, you were basically fighting the tiles with a butter knife!

Yeah, that "fighting with a butter knife" thing... it's everywhere. It feels like half the stuff we use daily is designed to make simple jobs way harder. Like the packaging you need power tools to open, or apps that hide basic settings. It's not just bad tools, it's the whole idea that we're supposed to just deal with things not working right. Makes you wonder who actually tests this stuff.

Hey, just a quick thing (score-and-snap cutters are actually for straight cuts, not corners). But yeah, the right tool makes all the difference!
