Just realized you can use a squeegee to fix shower floor slope problems for like $12

I had this annoying puddle that would never drain in my corner shower in Des Moines. Spent like 3 hours watching grout leveling videos and almost bought a $200 diamond blade to redo the whole floor. Then my dad handed me a car squeegee and said "just push the water to the drain after every shower." It actually works perfectly and I feel like an idiot for almost tearing out tile over it. Has anyone else found a dumb cheap fix like this that saved you from a full remodel?

Lmao that dad move is gold. My buddy had a similar thing with a toilet that kept running and making this weird whistling sound. He was about to drop like $400 on a whole new toilet setup, plumber quoted him more. I told him to just push the flapper down harder and see if it seals better. Turns out the chain was just too long by like half an inch. Took him 10 seconds to adjust it and it's been quiet for 3 years now. Sometimes the simplest fix is the one you overlook because you're already mentally committed to tearing everything apart.

Fixing a chain is cheaper than that first plumber diagnostic fee though.
