Spent $800 on a heated toilet seat and it was totally worth it

I live in Michigan and our bathroom gets freezing in the winter. I dropped $800 on a Toto washlet with heated seat and warm water. My wife thought I was crazy but now she uses it more than I do. Has anyone else gone all in on a fancy toilet and regretted the cost or loved it?

My wife thought I was crazy" - sounds like she was just jealous of the warm throne you'd built for yourself. Now she's the one heating up the seat while you're left standing in the cold.

Did anyone else have to convince their spouse that the heated seat wasn't just a rich man's toy? My neighbor installed one and claimed it changed his whole morning routine, but then he confessed he falls asleep on it too often. @spencer_gonzalez1, you might be onto something about the jealousy angle, though my wife just laughs and says my throne is the best thing that's happened to winter.

I had a buddy who tried to sell his wife on heated seats by saying it would help with her back pain, and now she won't drive the car without them. He accidentally left them on during a summer trip and they both got roasted on the highway, but she still says it's worth the risk. Guess the throne really does change things, even if you wake up sweating sometimes.
