A guy at the dog park fixed my 3-year paning problem in about 2 minutes
This older dude saw me struggling with my scroll saw and just walked over, showed me I had the blade tension way too loose, and handed me a scrap piece of walnut he had in his truck. He said 'your machine is fine, your setup is the problem' and now I actually finish my projects instead of getting stuck. Does anyone else have that one random stranger who taught you something that basic?

Yeah, "your machine is fine" is just code for "you're using it wrong".

Got a call last week from my cousin who was FURIOUS that his new printer wouldn't connect. I drove over, saw he was trying to pair it with the microwave's wifi by mistake, and he still blamed the printer. @nina_taylor it's like when my dad insisted his car "just couldn't go up hills" until I pointed out he was driving with the parking brake on. People REALLY hate admitting they missed something simple.

Nina_taylor made me rethink every time I blamed a device for user error.
