Appreciation post: a 2017 forum comment about 'nobody will pay $200 for a digital picture' just hit different now
I was cleaning out bookmarks on my old laptop and found a post from 2017 on a small art forum where someone laughed off the idea of digital drawings selling for real money. The thread got 4 replies and then died, and one commenter even said 'maybe $20 if you're lucky.' That was 8 years before the whole market for digital art and AI stuff exploded, and now the same argument is everywhere with way more money on the line. Did anyone else save a comment from back then that turned out to be totally wrong?
