Can we talk about how I ignored the Reddit thread from 2019 warning about that cruise ship port in Cozumel
I was cleaning out my saved folder last night and found a comment from 2019 with 3 upvotes saying the dock at that Cozumel pier was cracking and they were patching it every season. Fast forward to last month and it's all over the news, ships getting rerouted, people stuck for 6 hours in 95 degree heat. The guy literally wrote 'this is gonna snap one day and nobody will be ready.' I scrolled right past it back then because who trusts a random comment, right? Now I want to know if anyone else has an old post they saved that actually came true.
This is gonna snap one day and nobody will be ready" sounds like every doomsday comment on Reddit honestly, most of them never pan out. One lucky guess doesn't mean the site was sitting on secret knowledge, people call stuff wrong every day and we just forget those.
