Found an old Reddit comment from 2019 that nailed the whole Gamestop thing
Someone posted in r/wallstreetbets back in September 2019 about how Gamestop's short interest was 140% and called it a "ticking time bomb." I was scrolling through old threads last night and there it was, 12 upvotes, nobody cared. How do people spot stuff this early and nobody listens?

Wait, didn't everyone just write that stuff off as noise back then? I'll be honest, I used to scroll past those posts thinking it was just hype or people being dramatic. But after seeing how it all played out, I've gotta admit those early calls were spot on and way smarter than most of us gave them credit for.

Did we all just collectively agree to ignore the smart people in the room?

Isn't that always how it goes though? I feel that hard.
