Found an old Reddit thread predicting the Bigfoot footage saga back in 2018
I was digging through some old saved posts last night and stumbled on a thread from r/cryptozoology from July 2018. Some user named SkepticalSam called out a specific filming date and location near Yakima, Washington, saying they'd 'bet money on a viral hoax coming from that area within 5 years.' Fast forward to last month and that exact footage blew up on YouTube with 2 million views in a week. Sam's post had 12 upvotes back then and everyone argued with them. I sent Sam a message but their account went dark in 2020. Anyone else run into old predictions that nailed a recent story way before it got big?

People see patterns all the time but they just don't speak up... then when something hits big everyone acts like it came from nowhere. That Sam person probably noticed some local rumor or weird supply chain thing and put the pieces together before anyone else cared. Makes you wonder how many other dead accounts out there have the real story sitting in dusty posts nobody ever saw.

Some random reddit thread about local bakery closures tipped me off to a supply issue months before the news broke. Sometimes the obscure stuff pans out, you just gotta dig a little.
