I called the 2020 toilet paper shortage back in 2019

I posted in a prepper forum about how one bad flu season could wipe out supply chains for basic goods like toilet paper. Got laughed at by 50 people. 6 months later everyone was fighting over a 12 pack at Costco in Phoenix.

You totally called it! I made my husband stock up on canned goods and sanitizer in early 2019 and he thought I was nuts until shelves went bare.

Yeah the "you're nuts" comments aged like milk, didn't they? It's funny how people only see the pattern AFTER things go sideways. I've noticed that same dynamic plays out in smaller ways all the time, like when folks ignore the first frost warning and then act shocked their pipes froze.
