I keep seeing people say the Netflix film is what exposed Fyre Fest, and I just don't buy it. There's a Reddit thread from April 2017, about 8 days before the gates opened, where a user named something like jaRuleIsMyDad laid out the whole mess: no villas, cheese sandwiches, the tents still in boxes. He linked screenshots and a local Bahamas news blurb about workers not getting paid. The comment section called him a hater, said he was jealous, the usual. I found it because I was bored and searched "fyre fest disaster" for fun last weekend, and it took me maybe 10 minutes of scrolling. So why does everyone credit the camera crew? Is it just that nobody reads Reddit threads past the top 3 comments?
