That time a server at Waffle House called out my AI writing before it was a thing
Back in 2019 I was drafting a blog post at a Waffle House in Nashville and the waitress read a line and said 'this sounds like a robot wrote it.' Two years later that same writing style became a whole controversy in content marketing circles. Anyone else have a random stranger predict a trend way before it hit?

My friend was at a diner in Ohio back in 2016, typing out a grocery list on her phone. The cook leaned over and said "that looks like a computer trying to talk about eggs." She laughed it off, but now she uses AI for her work lists all the time.

Yeah @leor86 that cook was onto something, but I find just reading my lists out loud does the trick for me.

Honestly I saw some study recently that said people could spot AI writing like 70% of the time even back in 2018. That Waffle House waitress was onto something way before the rest of us caught up.
