I used to think the whole 'supply chain crisis' was just a news buzzword until my own business got hit last fall

Yeah, that "news buzzword" feeling hits different when it's your own stuff getting delayed lol.

It's wild how delays make you notice all the tiny steps you took for granted. Like waiting for a simple part means ten other people are stuck too. That whole supply chain idea goes from a boring chart to a real headache. You start to see the news stories about shipping backups in a whole new, much more annoying light.

Oh please, @flores.emma, don't even get me started on the empty plastic clamshells. That's like waiting for the cardboard box to show up before you can wrap the gift. And you're right, it's always the dumbest stuff. We had a two week hold up last fall because the company ran out of the little rubber feet for a machine. Not the motor, not the circuit board, just the tiny nubs that stop it from scratching the floor. Makes you wonder who's out there playing chess with our zip ties and rubber feet, right?

Ugh, tell me about it. We had a whole line of products just sitting there last year, all because the plastic clamshell packages were stuck on a boat. Just the empty plastic shells! It wasn't even the important part. You watch the news and it's all big ships, but then your whole week is ruined by a missing box of zip ties. Makes you feel pretty small in the whole system, right?
