I used to trust every press release, now I check the court dockets first

Back in March I wrote a whole post about a local housing dispute in Akron based on a developer's press release. Turned out the court records showed they'd already lost two appeals, and the real story was about tenants fighting eviction. A commenter linked me to the public case files and that flipped everything. Now I pull up the docket number before I even finish reading the press release, has anyone else found a specific database that works better than just Googling?

PACER changed my whole workflow for federal stuff, I found a case in Ohio where the actual ruling was the opposite of what the company claimed in their release, made me look dumb in front of a source. Now I literally check the docket before I even open my email, it's like the first draft of the truth.
