Just realized how wrong I was about that big tech outage story from February
I saw the headline about the cell networks going down and just assumed it was a huge hack, like in the movies. Then I read the full report from the FCC and it was basically a guy in Tennessee messing up a software update at a major carrier. The whole thing was fixed in like 12 hours, but the news made it sound like the end of the world for days. Anyone else get totally spun up by a headline only to find the real story was way more boring?

My friend was convinced it was a foreign government testing attack signals. The news really ran with the most dramatic version before the facts came out. It's wild how a simple mistake can cause that much panic.

Wait, it was just one guy? In Tennessee? That's insane. I pictured some huge cyber attack with teams of hackers.
