The weather report that messed up my entire week in Biloxi

I found out from a NOAA marine forecast deep in their website that the wind shift they predicted for 2 PM actually happened at 9 AM, which cost me a whole day of outdoor work and a $300 deposit on a rental lift. Has anyone else gotten burned by a small detail buried in a government agency's report?

Ever tried bookmarking the specific marine forecast page for your area? I do that now after a similar screw up with a storm drain project. The NOAA site is a maze, so I set a daily reminder to check it first thing in the morning and again at noon. Saved me from a few wasted deposits since, your mileage may vary on how long it takes to get used to their layout though.

Bookmarking is definitely the way to go, I feel like every website these days hides the one page you actually need. It's just how life works now, you have to trick the system to get what you want.

Websites are basically just digital mazes now, hiding all the useful stuff behind five layers of fluff.
