Appreciation post: My neighbor ranted about Kurt Cobain for 20 minutes at a block party last summer

He said Nirvana was just grunge watered down for radio pop fans and that the Melvins deserved the fame instead. I still think about how passionate he was about it, has anyone else had a random neighbor drop a hot take that actually stuck with you?

My buddy's dad cornered me at a BBQ once to explain why Pink Floyd sold out after Dark Side of the Moon, he went on for a solid 30 minutes while I just nodded and held a hot dog.

Thirty minutes about Pink Floyd selling out? I'm sorry, but that's insane. I would have just started eating the hot dog in a panic, like maybe if I chewed loud enough he'd take the hint. Did you at least get a good burger out of that deal, or was it just a monologue and a bun? Some people really treat a BBQ like their personal TED Talk, I swear.
