Blew $120 on a spoke tension app and went right back to the park tool
Thought my ears were shot after 15 years so I dropped $120 on that phone app, but after doing a full wheel last Tuesday the readings were all over the place and my thumb and the little Park Tool TM-1 still get me dead straight in half the time, anyone else try one of these and get junk numbers?
Man, I gotta disagree on this one. The app works fine if you calibrate it right and pluck the spokes the same way every time, and it's way more exact than eyeballing where the needle sits on the TM-1. I get that the Park Tool feels faster, but fast and straight are two different things when you're chasing even tension across 32 spokes.
