Bottom bracket creak drove me nuts for 2 weeks, turned out to be a seatpost clamp

Rebuilt the whole drivetrain on my commuter in Portland last month chasing a creak that only showed up on climbs, then a buddy at the co-op said check the saddle rails first, has anyone else wasted a weekend on a noise that wasn't where you thought it was?

So what finally fixed it, new grease or just torque it down?
