Spent $180 on a Park Tool PCS-10 stand and it saved my back, not my wallet
I put off buying a real repair stand for 6 years and just flipped bikes upside down on the floor like an animal. After tweaking my lower back for the third time working on a bottom bracket in my garage in Spokane, I finally caved and got the Park Tool PCS-10 for around $180. Turns out the whole "flip the bike over" thing was costing me way more than money, since I was scratching up saddles and bars and redoing brake adjustments twice as often. The stand paid for itself in maybe 3 tune ups just from not chasing my tools around the floor. Anyone else hold out way too long on a basic tool because the cheap way "worked fine"?
