TIL I was installing derailleurs at the wrong angle for 3 years

Watched a Park Tool video last night where Calvin showed the cage should point straight up on high gear not parallel to the chain, been doing it backward since I started.

Hang on, so the cage angle actually changes how it shifts? I've been running mine parallel to the chain this whole time too.
