A coworker's throwaway comment made me rethink my whole watchlist

Last Tuesday, my coworker Dana saw me scrolling through a 40-episode crime drama and said, 'You know that show is just the same twist repeated, right?' I laughed it off at first, but then I actually counted and realized the last 6 binges I finished all had the exact same 'secret twin' reveal. Has anyone else had someone point out a pattern in their viewing habits that suddenly ruined a show they loved?
