Almost ruined my whole weekend because of a simple casting issue with my streaming setup

I was all set to binge the new season of that sci-fi show everyone's been talking about, the one that just dropped on Friday. Got my snacks ready, comfy blanket, the whole deal. I go to cast it from my phone to the TV and nothing happens for like 10 minutes. I'm restarting the app, checking my wifi, the whole nine yards. Turns out my Chromecast hadn't updated its firmware in like 8 months and it just couldn't handle the new 4K stream. I wasted a solid hour and a half on Saturday morning just figuring out the issue and getting it updated. Has anyone else run into a problem where a simple update caused a huge delay in your binge plans?

Oh man, my buddy had this exact thing happen with his Roku last month, he was trying to watch the season finale and spent two hours factory resetting the thing before he realized it just needed to update too lmao.

Two hours on a factory reset? Dude @rileyprice, that's brutal, I would've thrown my Roku out the window by then.
