Caught myself watching 8 episodes of a Norwegian crime drama in one sitting
Last Saturday I was supposed to just watch one episode of 'The Bridge' before bed, but next thing I knew it was 4am and I had finished the whole first season. My delivery route the next day was brutal and I almost fell asleep at a red light on Broadway. Has anyone else had a foreign show totally wreck your sleep schedule like that?

I heard the Swedish version has much darker humor, and @simonk98 would probably agree that's what makes it impossible to pause.

The Bridge is a solid choice but did you watch the original Swedish/Danish version or the American remake? Because those are basically two different shows entirely and that changes everything about the conversation. What exactly hooked you so hard that you couldn't put it down? Was it the detective duo or the actual mystery itself?

And honestly @simonk98, I think the detective duo is what REALLY made it for me, because their weird chemistry and complete lack of social skills made every scene unpredictable. The mystery itself was fine, but watching Saga and Martin bounce off each other was the part that kept me glued to the screen for three seasons straight. That kind of character dynamic is SO rare, and it's the whole reason I ended up binging the Swedish version twice.

Oh man that reminds me of my friend Dave. He put on the first episode of Bordertown from Finland around 10pm and his girlfriend found him at 7am still watching with a frozen pizza just sitting there untouched. He called in sick to work that day and told his boss he had food poisoning.
