Gave animated shows another shot after 15 years of skipping them

Always figured cartoons were for kids or comedy nerds, so I ignored stuff like Arcane and Castlevania on Netflix. My buddy in Portland kept pushing me to try one, said the writing was better than half the live action stuff out there. I watched the first 3 episodes of Arcane last Tuesday and now I'm 9 deep, anyone else get pulled in by shows they swore they'd hate?
