Had to choose between two binge shows last weekend and picked wrong

I had Friday night free and couldn't decide between starting The Diplomat or rewatching Severance. Went with The Diplomat cause it was newer and shorter. Three episodes in and I was bored out of my mind. Too much talking in rooms and not enough happening. Ended up switching to Severance at midnight and stayed up till 4am. Has anyone else picked the wrong show and regretted wasting a good binge night?

Ugh I made that exact mistake with The Diplomat too, got halfway through before giving up.

Halfway through seems to be the breaking point for a lot of shows that don't deliver on the hype, don't you think @jenny_lane12 was onto something when she said we push through bad TV just because everyone else liked it?

Oh man, tell me about it. I fell for that same trap last year with some true crime doc that everyone was raving about. I stuck it out for four whole episodes before I just tapped out and found something better to do with my time. Honestly, I think sometimes we get pressured by the hype and feel like we have to finish something just because others liked it. Life's too short to force yourself through bad TV, you know?
