I finally took that criticism about pacing seriously after a friend called me out
My buddy Jake sat me down last week after we binged Dark and said I always skip through dialogue too fast because I think I know where it's going. He was right, I missed half the clues in the first season and had no idea what was happening by episode 5. Has anyone else had a friend's blunt feedback completely change how you watch or recommend shows?

Started forcing myself to watch every show with subtitles on even if I can hear fine. That slowed me down enough to actually read the dialogue instead of skipping ahead in my head. Also started watching episodes in 45 minute chunks instead of letting autoplay run wild since I used to blaze through whole seasons in a day. It feels WEIRD at first but now I catch way more details and actually remember what happened. Still have to fight the urge to fast forward during slow parts though.
