My 7 year old picked a cartoon at random and it turned out to be a 52 episode rabbit hole
About three Saturdays back I let my youngest pick anything on the streaming app while I folded laundry in the living room, and she landed on some old adventure cartoon I had never heard of. Two hours later I noticed the credits were rolling on episode four and I had not touched the laundry basket once. What surprised me was the pacing, because each episode ends on a small cliffhanger instead of wrapping everything up, which is exactly how I got pulled through eight straight episodes that first night. We finished all 52 in nine days, and now she quotes lines at the dinner table to her brothers. Does anyone have a show with that same end of episode hook that works for a family with kids spread across ages 5 to 11?
