My brother told me to watch 'The Wire' and I finally get it
I was talking to my brother last weekend and he asked if I'd ever seen it. I said no, because the first episode felt slow. He just said, 'Give it four. If you don't like it by the end of episode four, fine.' So I did, and man, he was right. By the end of that fourth one, I was hooked on the whole story and how everything connects. I'm halfway through season two now and I can't stop. Has anyone else had a show that took a few tries to really grab you?

My buddy made me watch "Breaking Bad" and I had the same slow start. The first couple episodes with the RV in the desert just didn't click for me. He told me to stick it out until the end of season one. Once it got to that part with the bathtub falling through the ceiling, I was completely sold. It's wild how some of the best shows need a little time to build up.

So what was the moment that finally hooked you on the show? Like, was it that bathtub scene or something later?

Yeah, that slow burn is real. I almost gave up on a few shows because the first episode felt like a chore. It's frustrating when everyone says something is amazing and you just don't see it yet. But pushing through that initial hump can be so worth it. You end up getting into a whole world you would have missed.
