My buddy Dale says skipping the pilot episode is fine and I think he is dead wrong
Dale came over Saturday to help me hang a door and while we worked he mentioned he starts every new show at episode 2 because pilots are always slow and full of setup. I told him that is how you miss the whole point of a show like Breaking Bad, where the pilot lays out Walt's whole sad life in 45 minutes. He shrugged and said he has saved himself hours this way, but I think he is just watching shows wrong. Does anyone here ever skip pilots, or is Dale alone on this one?

Dale never told you which pilots he's actually skipped, huh? Because I'd bet money he sat through the Breaking Bad one and just doesn't remember it. Ask him to name one specific show where episode 2 hit harder than episode 1.
