My neighbor dragged me into a 3-hour binge of that old British baking show last Tuesday and now I'm hooked

She knocked on my door around 7pm holding a plate of scones and said "you have to see this episode where someone's cake falls apart." I sat down for ten minutes. Three hours later we'd watched six episodes and she was telling me about her grandmother's pastry recipe. Has anyone else had a friend or neighbor just rope you into a show you never thought you'd like? How do you even catch up from season 2?

Used to think baking shows were boring, but that cardamom orange scone changed my whole mind.

Get straight to the point - what did she put in those scones? If they were good enough to keep you planted on the couch for three hours, the baking show might just be a side effect of her real master plan. Did she walk you through her grandmother's recipe step by step or just tease you with it?

Wait, is it bad that I used to roll my eyes at people who got obsessed with baking shows? Because I totally did until my neighbor brought over her Great Aunt Mabel's cardamom orange scones and now I get it. She didn't even give me the full recipe, just dropped enough hints to keep me guessing.
