One comment about my pacing ruined how I watch shows now

My buddy said I was "flying through episodes like it was a race" and that ruined the whole experience for me. He was right. I used to finish a 10-episode season in like 2 nights. Now I force myself to watch one episode a night max. It sucks at first but now I actually remember the plot details and character names. Has anyone else had to change HOW they watch because of someone's nagging?

Honestly, that "flying through episodes" comment would've made me mad at first. I used to be the same way, crushing a whole season in one sitting and calling it a good night. But ngl, after I tried slowing down, I realized I was missing half the show. Now I watch one or two episodes tops and actually remember little details that make the whole thing better.

And you mentioned remembering little details, has that actually changed which shows you enjoy more now? I'm wondering if slowing down made me like certain genres better or just made me more patient with the slower parts. Did you find your actual taste shifting once you started paying closer attention to the smaller moments?
