Skipped the 8 episode drama for a 2 season comedy, best call this month

I was halfway through this dark thriller everyone kept hyping on here, but by episode 4 I just couldn't take another murder mystery. Swapped it for a silly workplace sitcom from 2019 instead, watched all 20 episodes in 3 nights. The comedy had this one character who keeps messing up office supplies and it actually made me laugh out loud twice. Has anyone else bailed on a serious show mid season for something dumb and felt zero regret?
