Stayed at a motel in Bakersfield for 3 nights and the front desk lady's show list got me hooked
I was stuck in Bakersfield for 3 nights last month waiting on a part for my truck, and the motel had maybe 12 channels and nothing on. The lady working the front desk, Denise, saw me flipping through the guide and told me to stop wasting my time and just start a show from episode one on my phone instead of catching random episodes on cable. She pulled out her own phone and showed me her list, and one of them was a show about a small town sheriff that I'd never heard of. I figured why not since I had nothing else going on, and I watched 4 episodes that first night in the room. By night 3 I was on season 2 and actually kind of bummed when my truck was ready because I wanted to keep going. What got me was how much better it was watching in order instead of catching a random rerun and being lost. Anyway, I'm almost done with it now and need something new for the drive home. What's a show you started on a whim like that and couldn't stop?
