Why does nobody talk about how season 3 of that crime show fell apart
I was binging "The Bridge" on Hulu last night, got to season 3 episode 5 and something just broke. The whole plot went sideways, characters started acting weird and the pacing got all messed up. I ended up skipping to the finale just to see if it got better but it did not. Has anyone else had a show totally lose its magic partway through like that?

Gotta say I actually think season 3 of The Bridge was the best one. The weird plot twist with the detective's past made sense to me once I sat with it. Characters acting weird felt more like them dealing with real fallout from earlier seasons instead of just resetting everything. Pacing felt deliberate too, like they were building to something bigger.

Completely agree, that season 3 really lost the plot. Had the same experience with a show called "The Wire" where season 2 just completely switched focus and the whole thing felt off from then on. Gets frustrating when you're invested and it just goes sideways.

I mean, "fell apart" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, isn't it? I watched season 3 of The Bridge and yeah, it got a little weird, but that happens with a lot of shows that run for more than a couple seasons. The detective's backstory was out there for sure, but calling the whole thing broken feels like you just got annoyed at one plot point and decided the whole season was ruined. You skipped to the finale, that's like reading the last chapter of a book and saying the story didn't make sense. Maybe the pacing was a little slow but not everything needs to be nonstop action, you know?
