I started pausing news clips right when the anchor messes up instead of watching the blooper reels
I used to watch those 10 minute blooper compilations until I realized the good stuff is usually in the raw clip 2 seconds before the cut. Last Tuesday a local anchor in Tampa called the mayor "the mare" and the control room graphic popped up with the wrong name, and neither made the blooper reel because they cut around it. Anyone else scrub the actual broadcast instead of trusting the edited version?
