Cleaned my game shelf and found I own exactly 100 board games
I was sorting through my collection in the basement last night, getting rid of empty boxes. I counted them all and it came to a flat 100. It hit me because I remember when getting my 10th game, Catan, felt like a huge deal back in college. Now my shelves are packed with everything from tiny card games to giant boxes like Gloomhaven. Has anyone else hit a round number that made you stop and think about how much your hobby has grown?

Counting empty boxes is weird, @henry_murray. But hitting 100 games is a real moment. Felt that when I hit 50. Makes you look back at all the game nights and money spent. It's a big hobby milestone.

But the empty boxes were for games I've sold, so my count is still real, right @henry_murray?

Honestly, I have to call this out a little. You said you were getting rid of empty boxes, but then you counted your games. If you have empty boxes on your shelf, those aren't games. Tbh, it sounds like you own less than 100 games if some of those were just empty containers. The real number is what's actually on the shelf ready to play. It's still a huge collection, but you gotta count right.
