That one saturday when three games in a row fell flat
Had a game day last month where every single box we pulled out had missing pieces someone forgot to put back. By the third game I was just digging through the couch cushions for a random token from Azul. How do you handle groups that don't respect the cleanup rules?

That's just how it goes sometimes, like how @felixm29's checklist thing works because people respect systems more than they respect each other.

I feel like blaming the group misses the real issue though. My group had that same problem until I put a checklist in each game box with every component listed. Now whoever sets up has to check off the list before we start and after we pack up. People respect it way more when they can see exactly what's supposed to be there.

Haha YES, the checklist idea is GENIUS. I did the EXACT same thing after we lost half the tokens to a Catan game and nobody fessed up. It forces everyone to be accountable right then and there, no more shrugging and saying "I thought you had it.
