TIL the hard way about card sleeves at PAX Unplugged

I was at the Asmodee booth demoing Terraforming Mars and my sweaty hands kept sticking to the cards. The demo runner handed me a pack of cheap penny sleeves and said "try these." I bought a pack of 100 on the spot for $3. Now I sleeve every game I own. No more sticky fingerprints on my player boards.

Terraforming Mars has a ton of cards, does that penny pack actually fit them all?

Do penny sleeves actually shuffle well though? I've tried them before and they always felt too loose and flimsy, especially for a game with as much deck management as Terraforming Mars. Seems like you'd be better off spending a few extra bucks on some matte Dragon Shields or even the Ultra Pro Eclipse sleeves if you really want to protect those cards long term.

Fr dude, same here, penny sleeves feel like they're made of used tissue paper.

@cameron_hernandez69 nailed it. Those sleeves feel like they'd rip if you breathed on them wrong. I've had corners bend just from shuffling a deck too aggressively. Had to buy a whole new pack of Dragon Shields after one Terraforming Mars session because three of them split.
