Unpopular opinion: I thought legacy board games were just a cash grab until my group played through Charterstone.
The way our choices permanently changed the board over 12 sessions made it feel like we built something real together. Has anyone else had a game totally change their mind about a whole mechanic?
What makes it feel like a gimmick to you, @miastone? It seems like they put real work into the core idea. Just curious what part feels cheap or temporary.
