Am I the only one who marks tube sheets with a soapstone before rolling, not after?
Had a 60 inch drum on the bench in Gary two weeks back and the roller kept fighting me until my old lead said to soapstone the lines before the tubes go in, night and day difference on the tie-in. Anyone else marking before instead of after, or am I late to this one?

Man, I had the same argument with a guy on a jobsite in Hammond last summer and we ended up timing both ways just to shut him up. Turns out marking first saved us close to an hour on the tie-in, so you're not late, you're just ahead of the guys still doing it backwards.
