Can we talk about how I ran 7018 uphill for 2 years before someone pointed out my arc length?
I was welding a boiler shell repair out in Gary last month when an old hand watched me for about ten minutes straight, then asked why I was holding such a long arc. Turns out I'd been treating rod angle and arc length like the same thing since my first shop in 2019, and my weld caps were proof of it the whole time. Anyone else had a guy catch something so basic you almost didn't believe him at first?
