Found a faster way to clean tube sheets without a torch

I was spending way too long chipping away at old gasket material on tube sheets. Tried a wire cup brush on an angle grinder and it shaved off 20 minutes per sheet. Anyone else ditch the torch for brushing?

Ditched the torch years ago on everything but the heavy stuff. You just need a stiff nylon brush on a drill for the thin tubes. Keeps from gouging the tube walls.

Used to swear by the torch but this sounds way better.

Forty years in this trade and I still use the torch because brushing spreads the dust everywhere and wears out the tube ends faster if you're not careful.
