Serious question, what's your worst story from working a turnaround that ran over?
We were 11 days into a 7 day turnaround at a plant outside Beaumont when the bottom head on the coker drum we were buttoning up showed a crack under PT at 2am. I had guys sleeping in their trucks in the parking lot and we ended up cutting out and rewelding three courses of shell plate while the unit sat dead for another 9 days. What's the longest you've ever had a job drag out past the schedule, and was it a weld repair or something else that bit you?
