Just realized the book everyone in my club called boring is actually great
Our club picked 'The Remains of the Day' back in March and I dragged my feet hard, figured it was one of those quiet books where nothing happens. Got to page 90 at my kitchen table in Akron and suddenly got why everyone loves Ishiguro, the guy builds a whole story out of stuff people don't say to each other. Now I'm the one pushing for another slow burn pick and half the group is annoyed at me. How do you all handle it when a book flips your view halfway through?
