Got to admit, my first time reading it I was so confused I spent half the book thinking Holden was a fish for some reason. Then I realized "catcher in the rye" isn't about fishing, and felt real dumb about myself.

Wait, did you really think Holden was fishing the whole time? That's honestly kind of sweet in a way, I can totally see how you'd make that connection. I've definitely had book moments where I was way off base too, so I feel your pain.
