TIL audiobooks at 1.5x speed should be illegal for book club prep
I sped through a 12 hour audiobook in one night for our Tuesday meeting and showed up totally confident. Turns out I missed the whole twist because the narrator's voice was just a garbled mess at that speed. Anyone else ever embarass themselves like that after speed-listening?

HOLD ON, you listened to a FULL 12 hours in one night? That's not even speed listening, that's like a superhuman feat. I can't believe you made it through that without falling asleep, let alone catching the actual plot. Honestly, missing the twist is bad, but surviving that many hours awake is kind of impressive in a scary way.

Gotta hand it to @ericcraig, calling it a stamina flex is spot on. Honestly, surviving 12 hours awake is wild, but doing it while trying to follow a story? That's some next level brain fog territory. Props to you for not passing out, even if you missed the whole point.

Is your brain just wired different or something? Cause I'd be snoring by hour three no matter how good the story was. Honestly, 12 hours straight is more of a stamina flex than a listening win.
