Why everyone assumes '80s memoirs are reliable?
I found a stat in a 2023 Stanford study that says 63% of those big-name '80s memoirs had events either exaggerated or flat out wrong when cross-checked with news archives. Has anyone else noticed their book club pushing back on these as historical truth?

Did your book club read "Mommie Dearest" yet?

Used to think it was just over the top dramatics, but that book completely changed my mind about the whole situation. It's way more disturbing than I ever imagined.
