A customer in Portland corrected my rounding technique
I used to round the spine with a bone folder pressing hard from the center. A regular customer watched me for a minute and said, 'You're crushing the paper, not shaping it.' They showed me how to work in small overlapping strokes from the hinge outward. It took about eight books to build the muscle memory, but my spines sit flatter and the covers close without that stiff crack. Has anyone else had a customer point out a basic habit you never questioned?
