Switched to paste-down hinges after a customer complaint in Nashville

I used to do all my journals with hidden hinges cause I thought they looked cleaner, but a customer brought one back saying the cover cracked after 3 months of daily use. They showed me the break and I realized the hidden hinge was putting too much stress on the spine joint, so I switched to paste-down hinges on my last 12 orders. Anyone else had a customer point out a flaw that made you rethink your whole method?
